Bloody Nose

So it's 4 am and Olivia is in bed with us. I put her in bed with me, with the humidifier on. I am supposed to have one on with the current condition of my nose. Olivia has a little dry cough, so off we went to bed. Eddie obviously came home from work later and joined us.
Liv woke up coughing and saying she had boogies and needed "tissue", so I grabbed a tissue and Eddie wiped her nose. When he went to move her hair, he said " oh no did you throw up?', so he turned the light on behind him, he couldn't see anything, though without his glasses that's not surprising! Anyway, Liv had her head turned away from me, but I looked down at my sheets and there were drops of blood on the sheets. So we sprang into action, I have never seen any blood come from Olivia, much less the mad amounts that were coming from her nose and mouth. She of course did not want us to wipe or hold her nose. I quickly called for my Dad's assistance, thinking surely he had seen this in one of us kids years ago. The blood kept running at an alarming rate, in my opinion. My Dad says I think you need to take her in... there was that much blood. So I called our fabulous pediatrician at 4:15 am, he said it would stop and not to worry, it is normal. OK! You know they are right but can't stand believing them when it's your child bleeding everywhere. So yes it did slow down, she calmed down... then Eddie says, this happened to me all the time when I was little. Good info to know sooner, honey, although I am sure it wouldn't have mattered in that moment. So after I try to remove blood from all my bedding, Olivia's clothes, many washcloths, etc., it's off to Target to buy more humidifiers and anything else that will keep another bloody nose at bay. Then early to bed for all of us.

Home from Baltimore

So we made it to Baltimore and back. We ate Captain Crunch french toast at Blue Moon Cafe, they were slammin! We saw the only remaining ship from Pearl Harbor, a submarine and some other boats. We ate at the crapy Hard Rock cafe, but Olivia thoroughly enjoyed the revolving door, which led to the rest of our adventures. If there was a revolving door anywhere, we went thru it. Also if there was an escalator we rode it. We saw the dolphin show at the aquarium and that was about it, other than the doors and escalators. She asked to go home constantly, such a homebody. We did swim at the MAC, the pool was 86 degree, fabulous! So our exciting trip was highlighted by going to sleep between 7-8 pm, revolving doors and escalators. Oh how exciting Baltimore is!

Today it snowed....

So today on the eastern most part of the jersey shore, it snowed and continues to do so. I am sure that the whole state will be shut down shortly, there is about 2-3 inched on the ground, holy, holy. It's funny to come from Colorado to this and see the difference. Liv had no school today, but not due to snow. It was due to an auto deer accident, they closed the 2 mile stretch of road infront of her school for about humm 10 hours. These people are nuts out here. Move that s*%@ out of the way and get moving. But instead about 700 kids missed school, in turn making 700 parents miss work, great for our economy and those barely holding on to the jobs they have. I guess all that stems from an accident, sorry. Now I obviuosly need to go have a talk with Oliva, she has decided that kicking is great fun and is laughing at me when I tell her to stop.

Livs LIfe

Livy is leading a very full life. She attends Atlantis Prep School in Manasquan, NJ twice a week for a half day. She takes dance class on Fridays. And for those of you who didn't know, Lil O has speech therapy twice a week to help with her speech delay. I would say at this point there isn't much of a delay, she always has something to say and is putting words together now, sometimes a whole sentence. It is very exciting for us, even if she did tell me this morning that my shirt was "not cute"!
Olivia jumped for the first time last night! She is always trying and finally made it airborn. She also stayed up super late, I think it was close to 11 pm, going strong, painting, playing house, you name it she played it.
We are headed to Baltimore next weekend for a mini getaway. Going to BlueMoon Cafe which Eddie saw on Dinners, Drive-ins and Dives. Taking Liv to the Aquarium and whatever else we can find to do. It's a three house drive from Manasquan to Baltimore. We are so close to everything!
Well thats whats going on! Off to play Barbies, or playdoh or whatever else Liv finds amusing.

Gonna Do It

Well everyone else has posted a blog at this point and most everyone wants to see Liv more, so here we go.
